First Aid Kit Locations

ToekomstTech has three first aid kits in the space. They are the green metal boxes mounted on the wall.

Kit 1 — Main Entrance

Location: On the wall to the right of the main entrance door, at eye level.

Contents:

• Adhesive plasters (assorted sizes)
• Sterile wound dressings (small, medium, large)
• Triangular bandage
• Safety pins
• Disposable gloves (nitrile)
• Eye wash station (100ml sterile saline)
• Burn gel sachets
• Foil emergency blanket
• First aid guide (Dutch/English)

Kit 2 — Kitchen

Location: Mounted on the wall above the microwave.

Contents: Same as Kit 1 plus:

• Extra burn gel (the kitchen is the most common source of minor burns)
• Tweezers (for splinters)
• Antiseptic wipes

Kit 3 — Workshop

Location: On the pillar next to the drill press, red cabinet clearly labelled EHBO.

Contents: Same as Kit 1 plus:

• Eye wash (larger 500ml bottle)
• Extra wound dressings
• Tourniquet (for serious lacerations — only use if trained, or on instruction from 112 operator)
• Trauma bandage

AED (Defibrillator)

The AED is not in a first aid kit — it's in an orange cabinet on the wall next to the main entrance, directly below the fire alarm.

The device provides full spoken instructions when opened. It can be used by anyone, regardless of training. If you suspect someone is having a cardiac arrest, open the cabinet and follow the instructions.

Restocking

Check the kit contents periodically. If anything has been used, restocked, or is expired, post in #workshop on Slack or leave a note in the kit itself. The board orders restocks monthly.

Do not "borrow" items from first aid kits for non-emergency use (e.g. taking a plaster for a blister). These supplies need to be there in a real emergency.

First aiders

Several members have current EHBO (First Aid) certification. The board maintains a list — ask any board member to find a qualified person in the space. We recommend keeping the list visible in the kitchen.
