How Membership Works

At ToekomstTech, membership is simple: you're either in or you're out. No complicated levels, no progression ladders, no status symbols.

Members

Every member has equal access to:

• The full wiki (create and edit pages)
• All tools and equipment (borrow anything)
• Events (create and attend)
• Projects (start, join, collaborate)
• Presence (see who's at the space)
• Feed (post updates and shoutouts)

There's no hierarchy among members. Your voice matters the same whether you joined yesterday or two years ago.

Stewards

Stewards are trusted members who help run the space. Think of them as caretakers, not bosses. They:

• Welcome new members and give tours
• Moderate the community and resolve conflicts
• Manage the space (inventory, events, announcements)
• Make decisions about the space together

Becoming a steward isn't a promotion — it's a responsibility. If you consistently show up, help others, and care about the space, existing stewards may ask you to join them.

Do-ocracy

We follow the do-ocracy principle: authority comes from doing, not from title. If you see something that needs fixing, fix it. If you want to host a workshop, host it. If you want to improve the wiki, edit it.

You don't need permission to contribute. Just do it.

Getting Started

1. Get invited by an existing member
2. Come for a trial visit
3. If it's a good fit (for both sides), you become a member
4. That's it — you're in. Equal to everyone else.
